God created humans
God created our souls in His Own Image then breathed us into our earthly bodies.
John 4:24 (NLT) For God is Spirit….
Genesis 1: 27 God created man in His own image….”
You are a spirit being made in the image of the Creator!
However, your body came from the earth! God formed it from raw materials found on earth. He did it in an exceedingly clever way. Every part of your body comes from some element found on earth. He formed our bodies literally from dust.
Genesis 2:7 (NIV) Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
Man and the Continuing Creation
Genesis 1:28 (NLT) …”Be fruitful and multiply..”
Instead of forming new bodies from the dust every time that God wanted to make a new human, God made the living bodies have the seeds (gametes) to create brand new bodies! He made sure that both man and woman made the body that resulted in the co-owning of the growing young body. The process made the two humans co-caretakers of His most precious creation’s physical needs. It is a clever combination of all factors involved that helped create families!
Science teach us that the creation of a new human body, starts with gametes merging! The male (sperm) and female (egg) gametes merge their DNAs into one DNA forming a single cell that has its own identity ready to multiply!
Egg + Sperm = (becomes a) Zygote. This is the process of fertilization.
After fertilization, the cell starts multiplying and body parts start forming from the merged DNA instructions! That is why your body looks like your DNA relatives! I believe that somewhere in the embryonic stage, God breaths in the soul. The body becomes a living person. This is quoted by among other scriptures, Genesis 2:7 above and Jeremiah 1:5(NIV) “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you...”. Jeremiah reveals that the soul was known to God before. Meaning that it was put in the young body as it formed in the womb.
I hear people say that a person has died! We don’t die we go back home but our bodies die. When the body dies, the soul goes back to God who gave it in the first place.
Ecclesiastes 12:7 (NIV) and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
When the soul leaves the body, life in the body ends. The body decays and returns to the earth and becomes dust the material that it was made from!
Science is a human’s way of trying to understand God’s vast knowledge and creation. We know very little through our human brain. Man has tried to imitate the Creator in nearly everything, from flying birds to swimming fish, from brain logic to blood flow in veins and arteries! Even the best medication for our bodies is provided for by the Creator naturally!
People who think that human beings should be held in high esteem above the Creator or the work of their hands should be held in owe and worshiped, live in deception! Humans are created and hold no real power over others unless you let them!
Isaiah 2:22 (NIV) Stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a breath in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem?
If you make a human or other creation your overall authority, then there is something very wrong with you! It doesn’t matter if the person has papers from Harvard, they live in the international space station, they work for NASA or can operate your brain, they are nothing but a proud mass of decaying or sometimes stinking flesh! Humans are nothing but a breath caged in a body. These bodies are subject to getting diseased, deformed, decay, and stink.
On the other hand, your soul in its purity is a lovable, cherished and precious entity created in the image of God and has no fault (you can see this in the majority of toddlers). The world defiles us as our bodies develop. We end up losing that childlike purity and innocence we were born with. The good news is that, if at any stage of our filthy lifestyles we (our soul) embrace the Creator, then our first purity and innocence can be restored. We then end up in an everlasting love life in the presence of God!
