LiV Above The Fear of Wickedness

We are living in a world that is full of fearful humans. Though this is a terrifying truth, many people live in denial!

The reality is, we are surrounded by people who are against God or anything to do with God. These people are so full of rebellion that any act of righteousness by others is seen as a challenge to their ways of life. Therefore, they hit back at anything holy, triggering fear in the hearts of those who endeavour to pursue a life of righteousness!

We should not live in fear of wickedness, instead seek the love of God and shun any appearance of evil! The scriptures remind us that, what may look like an established permanent structure of evil from humans, will one day in our lifetime, come to a sudden end. But the seemingly weak structures of righteousness from those seeking God, are forever protected!

Proverbs 14:11 (NIV) The house of the wicked will be destroyed, but the tent of the upright will flourish

I have seen with my own eyes, men and women practice inequity with ease, while building systems, that helped them carry out evil against people.

With the same eyes, I have unbelievably seen them fall from their high heights of pride! In a weird way to me, they have been brought to their knees and the chest-thumping attitude pruned, never to grow again! A sudden destruction overtook them!

The scripture above reveals God’s promises of protecting the unsuspecting innocent or those who are thought to have build their structures on ‘weak’ materials like faith!

God is in control and we should not worry of those who scheme against us! Let God deal with those who accuse you or sin against you for no reason! When God deals with them, He finishes the job. Their evil ways will never touch you again!

The following scriptures summarise the message in this article!

Proverbs 3:30 (NIV) Do not accuse anyone for no reason– when they have done you no harm.

Romans 12:19 (NIV) Do not take revenge…for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.

Psalm 37:10 (NIV) A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found
