LiV will now explore with you in details how to attain a life of spiritual freedom. As mentioned earlier, it starts with being born in the spirit! A process that is made possible by the Holy Spirit! This is the act of being born again, born of God or born of the Spirit of God!
John 3:6 (NIV) Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.
Please note that “Spirit” capital S is the Holy Spirit and “spirit” small s refers to the human spirit!
Our life on earth starts when our soul is placed in the forming body by the Creator! We are then born and remain incomplete till the day our spirit comes to life! After being born in the spirit, we become complete with a soul, a spirit and a body!
Unlike the flesh, the new spiritual you is receptive to a lifestyle of seeking God and therefore willing to be guided by the Holy Spirit! If this is not your lifestyle, then you are not yet born in the spirit! Do not deceive yourself or let anyone deceive you that you are born of God!
1 John 3:6 (NIV) No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.
The state of being born again is not through brain knowledge. That is religion. Truely born again Christians have evidence of who they really are in their soul since their spirit is alive! They are automatically led to seeking spiritual purity and holiness! They are not clothed in shame or condemnation, but their souls delight in being children of God!
Romans 8:1(NIV) Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,.
This new lifestyle, leads to victories over habitual sins, cold love, worldliness, insecurity, fear of unknown, fear of man, spiritual fear, sorrows, the need to please other humans, the need to be accepted by a mob, and above all, overcoming spiritual blindness, something not possible through the power of the flesh, that is our brain or muscles! The flesh is always overwhelmed by forces of spiritual darkness!
Matthew 26:41 NIV …The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
It is obvious that only the spiritually dead are also spiritually blind, and are easily manipulated by agents of spiritual darkness, masquerading as angels of light!
Jesus pointed out to a crowd of similar victims, of religious thuggery, that they are carrying unnecessary heavy burdens placed on their shoulders. “…For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:30 (NIV).
There is clear evidence, that when your spirit comes alive, your soul will easily start to pursue spiritual freedom!
Unfortunately, you (your soul) will encounter opposition! Your immediate social environment, will mock the very idea of you breaking free from their hold.
Don’t be disappointed or give up, but remember that, since you are now born in the spirit, means that your journey has started!
Many people in these opposing groups are dead spiritually, carnal in their thinking, and their spiritual journey has not even begun, though such people shout the loudest.
Don’t look at what the world values to determine spiritual genuineness, such as looks, human titles, education, or how they are smartly or religiously dressed, that could be part of the deception!
1 Samuel 16:7(NIV)…The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.
In order to escape mental oppression that you will most likely be subjected to, you need to separate yourself from your current toxic environment. Furthermore, voices around you may be too loud to allow God’s spoken word to reach you!
